Have you tried getting your tires balanced, i think if your wheels are not balanced it can cause your rotors to warp.

rotor warping is caused but excessive overheating
and rapid cooling (driving through water) have you tried aftermarket rotors??? (Powerslot, Ebc or Brembo) get slotted not drilled.

I am having problems with my rotors warping also. I've learned that since it's a heavy truck, it takes a lot to stop it. The overheating of the rotor is right, but I'm not sure about having the tires balanced. I have had my rotors rotated once and I need it again, all in the one year I've had mine. I guess I'm lucky, as you are on your 5th pair. How much are they costing you to replace? =)

Hey try changing your rotors to an after market pair that are slotted. The origanil rotors warp because of heat

brembos or SSBC all the way.

Also make sure the lugs are never over torqued. Any time someone other then you removes a wheel, losen the lugs and torque back to 100 to 120 ftlbs. That alone will save a lot of rotar probs

How about Raybestos BruteStop or SuperStop? Are those any good? Their website recommends using semi-metalic pads, is that right?

Kacey, if you want the best (my opion) use the brembo sport slotted rotor and hawk HPS street brake pads, this combo is awsome!!!!!

Okay, I have the new rotors and pads. When changing them, do I need to regrease and pack the bearings and what about a seal behind the spindal? Or does the Dakotas not need that? I can't find this info anywhere. Thanks for your guy's help!
