1997 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Blows Asd Fuse When You Come To A Stop, Sometimes You Can Replace The Fuse And It Will Start Right Up And Some Times It Will Blow As Soon As You Turn The Ignition, Also When The Fuse Blows You Have No Gagues. Took It To A Jeep Dealer And They Told Me It Was The Fuel Pump, Seems To Me That If It Was A Fuel Pump It Would Blow Fuel Pump Fuse, Maybe I"m Wrong , Dealer Wanted 550.00 To Install . Anyone With Any Ideas Would Be Appreciated

Before you go replacing the fuel pump, look at the wiring going to it.It should be clipped to the bottom of the car by the rear axle.I have seen a few that have fallen down and the wiring rubs through by the axle.It blows the fuse but not always. Also look at the wiring to the o2 sensor and make sure its not hitting the driveshaft.
