Hello all! I am haveing a problem with my interior lights. It all started when I had a dead Battery for a few days in a row! Well, i found that the Interior lights were staying on all the time when the ignition was off, so now I am having to take the fuse out of the circuit so the battery won't be drained. When the ignition is on the lights work as they should! can anyone help? Thanks, Chad

Try pressing your rear hatch light. When you open the rear hatch, press the light (button) up under the roof by hatch hinges. Keep hitting it until all your interior lights go out. SHould only take 1-3 times. That will make sure your interior lights go out when the vehicle is not on.

Keep in mind you may have a delayed interior light switch. ON my '98 JGC the interior lights stay on for 30 seconds before turning off. (after the doors are closed)

I also found that my interior lights would stay on because of my rear latch. I had a blanket covering the back floor and a piece of it got stuck in the latch. The back door still latched properly but it blocked the electrical connection enough to think that the door was still open leaving the interior lights on.

Sounds lame, but might want to make sure that the panel light adjustment didn't get turned all the way up as to turn them on and leave them on.
