Every now and then my 99 Chevy malibu doesn't take gas and when it is empty it will take like 30 cents worth and shoot it back out at me. Then the next day it will work. I got it checked out but the mechanic said nothing was clogging the tank. If anyone has had similar problems or knows what the problem could be please help. Thanks.....

This may sound silly, but sometimes it's because the gas pump nozzle is jammed into the gas tank intake, not allowing air to escape from the tank as fuel is pumped into it. Just take it a bit easy and don't jam in so deep. (After all, it's just a car :smile: )
