New taillightsjeverett 10-01-2004, 08:02 AM Man. I finally got me a set of 03 taillights, but seem to have a slight problem. 1. The bulbs don't seem to fit right. Do I need to modify something to get it to work right? 2. Theres an extra hole for a bulb at the bottom. Where the hell do I need to modify my harness to add that bulb??? Any other info greatly appreciated. Vortec327 10-01-2004, 08:12 AM The bottom hole is for a sidemarker bulb that also flashes opposite to the turn signal buld just like the front. I don't see why the sockets don't fit correctly? Nigel215 10-01-2004, 08:15 AM when u say the bulbs dont fit right...do they not fit in the hole of the taillight? I did'nt think 03' taillights would fit on a 99'. jeverett 10-01-2004, 08:20 AM Well, the bulbs fit, but the sockets dont act like they want to? I've been wanting some of these lights for like a year now, so the mofo's are gunna work...somehow Nigel215 10-01-2004, 10:06 AM i hear ya... i know on some of the holes in my tail lights and bumperlights the socket dident "fit" correctly. I just took a razor blade and made a few mods. But they are aftermarket lights, that should be expected. You have actual GM lights, so...make em' fit. as long as they click in your good. oh yea....if u do get to the cuttin on yours, be careful..... i took too much off of one of mine and every time it rains heavy i get a bunch of fog in their = bad news:shakehead . where can i get a few extra of thoes rubber rings that go around the socket? maybe that would help me if i doubled them up. jeverett 10-01-2004, 10:47 AM Check a body shop. They usually have a few extra harnesses laying around. I have 3 that I could give ya if you were close to here. My pass side blinker did the fogging thing, so after putting the bulb in, I put some clear silicone on my finger and rubbed it around the outside of the socket where it goes in the light and havent had a single problem since. Nigel215 10-01-2004, 10:50 AM clear silicone huh? ill have to give it a shot. jeverett 10-01-2004, 10:51 AM Silicone....good for many uses..trucks..women..lol vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
