I need to replace a window motor on a 91 lincoln town car. I was wondering if anyone could give me a drawing on how the motor and cables and tracks work. Thanks!!!

What's the problem?? Are you sure it's a dead motor? A common problem with all power windows is the "clutch" where the motor spins, but dosn't engage the regulator.

Unfortunately, the TC's and most other Lincolns, the motor is Steel Riveted to the inner door frame. To fix the "clutch" or replace the motor will require drilling out the rivets, and replacing them along with the repaired, or replaced motor.

The regulator (track and assembly that moves the window up and down) is bolted in, and can be replaced with standard tools.

I may be able to get you some shots of the 1996 if you think that may get you started.

Yeah if you can get a screenshot of a 1996, it would be the same right from 1990-1997.

Heres an article that descibes the rear window and it is similar to the fronts, click here. (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/article27.html) .

Good luck
