I just purchased a 1999 Cadillac Deville, some questions. How do you turn off the daytime running lights? Is it normal for the gas pedal to vibrate when you have the defog option on? And has anybody experienced a clicking sound in the steering column when your car is on and the transmission is in park, when you press the brakes and take your foot off the brakes? Any help would be great before the warranty runs out.

Here goes:
1. You cannot 'turn off' the daytime running lights. You could pull the fuse or the module, but why????
Its a safety feature, proven over many years and in many countries to reduce the risk of accidents. Why make your car more dangerous.
2. The steering column clicking you hear is likely normal. There is a shift interlock mechanism at work, that you are hearing, to prevent you from shifting gear without your foot on the brake pedal. (A safety device which helps prevent those 'sudden acceleartion' accidents, like the type Audi 5000's were notorious for about 15 years ago.)
3. The brake vibration is a new one to me and is not normal. It might be a problem with the anti lock brakes.
