take the 22r-e out of another toyota. grab the wire harness, brainbox, instrument cluster, etc. swap it out and you will be fine. you also have the option of the toyota v-6 from same generation or the turbo motor. although i think the turbo was diesel, i might be wrong. i have an 85 with the 22r carb motor, and i am doing the swap for the 22r-e this weekend
