i just got my towncar with the premium jbl audio system which came with a small 6" sub on the rear deck. needless to say i blew it out inside of the first week i owned the car. i just put two 12 apline subs in the trunk but the blown 6" is still wired up and i can hear it rattling do you know where i can find a wiring diagram so i can disconnect the blown sub? i am also worried that the two 6x9s on the rear deck are connected to the same amp and i dont wanna go yanking cords unless i know what im doing... appreciate it

Well if you want it to stop recieving power you need to unplug it from the it's own amplifier. Open your trunk and on the left side of the grey box (which is the subwoofer) there should be a felt covered panel. Remove it and it reveals the Sub Amp and simply unplug the connectors and it will not work.

If you want to remove it that is going require taking the back seat out (top and bottom), to remove the side panels for the rear seatbelts. Remove the Third brake lamp then you have to remove the rear package tray and it will reveal the bolts that are hiding under it.

I have done it once and do not plan on doing it ever again. Took me half a day.

I should note that I have looked for replacement cones and have found nothing available to replace it.

Good luck
