I had my camaro start slowing down on me on acceleration with only 30k miles on it. Its doing it again at 53k miles and I going to try cleaning the injectors first. If it doesnt fix it I am going to take my cat off and run it down the road to see if it improves. If it does I will replace it, if not back to the drawing board. You could always try the same thing if you think your cat is going. Whats your car doing for you?

well, it's the weirdest thing....
I drove it on Saturday and it was fine. It sat the better part of Saturday and all of Sunday. I get into it Monday morning and start it and it rumbles...it's never rumbled before, at least not like this. The ride is SUPER rough, it's shakes and vibrates all over the place and the rpms jiggle back and forth really fast. Someone on the post before said you can smell if your cat is clogged. Well, I smell something...it doesn't smell like oil or gas or exhaust. so, I have no freakin' clue what's wrong. I just replaced the ECM about a month ago, ICM has been replaced, new cap and rotor, new spark plugs, new ignition coil.....any ideas????

in regards to grease's problem, i dont mean to be an ass, but double check your plug wires, it sounds like yougot some crossed, or it could be a bad ignition control module, it is a little black box under the rotor, if you pulled a plug out of it, or damaged it somehow taking off the rotor, it would cause this problem. i accidentally plugged the connection from the distribuor to the ICM in backwards and it was running so shitty that it would actually stall and die so hart that it would spray a cloud of fuel vapor two feet high out of the throttle body, switched the wires around and its running like a champ.

now I'll have to kill you.

89 - I know the wires aren't crossed becuase I haven't touched them since before I replaced the ecm over a month ago. But they are old since I had to switch them out with the new obnes becuase the new ones melted. I haven't touched anything in the car since it started working better. but i will change the wires and see if that's it.

You should really start a new thread so 89 can lock this one I would say you'll probably be somewhere around 25 -35 Horsepower gain. This is because the LS1 already had a pretty good exhaust system.

Edit- This is Borla + Header's not headers Alone.

For those of you wondering how Grease's surgery went here is a email she sent me. No word if she got me the naughty nurse pic's but I'm keeping my finger's crossed.

i just wanted to let you know how i'm faring out here in the wild
west....i'm stayong with my friend maxine in tucson, it's a good healing
environment. I'm doing well, my hand looks really funky, i'm frankenstein
right in time for halloween. my entire arm is black and blue and
swollen and i'm still numb in two fingers and my thumb, but the doctor said
that he made all of the incisions as smaqll as possible so i wouldn't
have as much scarring, so hopefully all of this nastiness will fade. i
miss driving my baby, my friend has a Del Sol that she lets me drive and
it just isn't the same!!! anyway, i should go, i just wanted to say hi.
hopefully i'll be back in the forum soon.
