Just out of curiousity, how much would a 4.0L V-6 from a 2004 Ford Ranger cost?

i had to drop another 4.0 in my 96 ranger and i bought a rebuilt long block from ford with a 36K mile warrenty and installation through my mechanic and cost of engine cost me just over 3K
