I know that Prelude VTEC's are faster....But one person I know swears that 99 - 00 Civic SI's are faster than 4GPV. Just because they are a little lighter. This person believes that his SI with removed power steering, removed exaust resonater, intake, and hi performance fluids and altezzas (The car is slammed) will kill the 94-95 Prelude VTEC I'm gonna cop. We are both getting our New Hondas in 6 months.............This person says he saw a 94 Prelude VTEC getting dogged by a bunch of SI's with the same mods that the Pre had...why would this happen? :confused: If I tell this person that my Prelude is going to be faster I am going to get a long story about how his SI will dog my PRelude because my PRE is too heavy.

A 99-00 civic si with cai/h/e with no extra heavy mods will only beat a "STOCK" 94 lude vtec. However, it really depends on the driver. I've seen si's beat camaro SS because the guy in the camaro couldn't drive a bicycle if his life depended onit.;)

Are you talkin about a SOHC VTEC or a DOHC VTEC prelude?:confused:

4th gen preludes come in SOHC non vtec 135 hp , 160 hp DOHC nonvtec Si, or the 190 HP DOHC VTEC model...

fastest i have seen a stock 4th gen lude run was 14.9 and the fastest i have seen a stock 99-00 si run is 15.4. an si with i/h/e should be a dead even matchup and the winner will be from driver error. si's and prelude's are not all people think they are. they are hondas you know.

it depends on the launch and if powershifting is done......

An SI with i/h/e should be able to kill a stock 4G Pre VTEC

i didnt see in your original post the non vtec lude h23 was what you where talking about. in that case an i/h/e civic si should be almost a full second ahead in the 1/4. but a 4th gen vtec would still hypothetically beat an i/h/e civic si with equal driving of both

H23A = 2.3 DOHC NON VTEC
H22A = 2.2 DOHC VTEC
