My cd player stopped working the other day as I was moving it, so It was determined by a shop the cd player was fried. Ok, now today I installed an XM reciever and cd player, all connections are where they should be and so forth. There's no power going to the cd player at all. The lighter and radio fuse are the same and the lighter is working, but still nothing from the cd player. COuld it be I fried the stock harness too and need to get a new one?

How can you fry a harness? It's just a bunch of wires. You can't fry wires. Well you can but you you know much current you needto flow thru it?

Look elswhere bro. Head units just don't "fry" because you moved it. I'm sure your other one is fine. I'd start out by testing if the power wire to CD player has current flowing through it with a circuit tester.

As i was moving it, one wire came loose and touched another wire and sparked, when everything was reconnected, it did not work. I got a new unit today with a new harness adapter and it still don't work. Which wire provides power the yellow?

Yellow is your constant power .. check some fuses and use that handy test light ...

Ok its dark so I'll look at the fuses tomorrow, but the radio/lighter fuse is fine, could another fuse be blown that would cause the radio not to work?

Remember what I said in a recent post. Check all the fuses. Some systems are tied into others.
