Adding rear power windows

Hi folks

I picked up a very low mileage 2003 Venture this past spring. It has most of the options that make up an LS but, alas, it's just a base EWB. Actually, the only option I know of missing are the rear power windows which leads me to my question...

How much effort is it to add them if I were to visit an auto wrecker and pick up a set along with the front switches?

Is the wiring already in place in the door and behind the rear plastic trim in case this option is installed? I notice there are contact points inside the rear doors already in place for the windows and the power door option. If so, does it terminate under the overhead switch console up front?

I'd really like to put a set in because I never open these windows otherwise!

Thanks!
Scott

They don't put the wiring in for them if the van is not have them. The wiring harness is different, as GM won't waste wire if it's not necessary. The install would be way more trouble than it's worth. My fiance has a 97 with the power rear windows, and I believe in the 3 years she's owned it, we've opened them maybe 6 times.

We have power rear windows on our LS, and I have NEVER opened them, besides, with all the little problems this model has, it would probably break anyway!

Thanks for the replies. If the wiring isn't already in place, forget it. I'm not going to mess around with it - the kids can open their own damn windows! ;)
