Honda civic Si (SIR)Sir_2003 09-24-2004, 08:41 PM I would like to know if theres any other compagnie then HONDATA that are able to chip a Civic SI or not? If yes, could you tell me who?? tanks :icon16: 91civicDXdude 09-24-2004, 09:05 PM convert to obd1 and run a chipped p28 mellowboy 09-25-2004, 12:58 PM Yeh hardly any companies chip the obd2 since it has lots of restrictions. If you dont want it chipped then get a ITR or CTR ecu. I'd rather have the chip though since it'll be cheaper. britts99si 09-27-2004, 11:14 AM just wanted to say hi..... ~*~LOVE BRITT~*~ Beastiek2 09-27-2004, 01:16 PM Didn't Apexi come out with somthing to compete with Hondata. But yea as stated above converting to OBD1 and running a chipped P28 will be fine. Ricochet 09-28-2004, 12:58 AM just wanted to say hi..... ~*~LOVE BRITT~*~ what the fuck is wrong with you? Quit whoring through everybody's threads just to be an attention craving skank 95dxcivic 09-28-2004, 01:17 AM what the fuck is wrong with you? Quit whoring through everybody's threads just to be an attention craving skank Yeah, I was going to say the same thing but I didnt want to start an agument and ruin the thread. Sir_2003 09-28-2004, 08:25 AM So How could I convert to OBD1, iT's a K series engine and your alking about a B series. And also, I don't have a real v-tech, only on the intake cam, So better way for now, his to buy a HONDATA computer. :( And if it his possible to convert to OBD1 How?? And what do I need?? tanks to all :eek7: Beastiek2 09-28-2004, 08:29 AM Oh you have a 7th gen SI. What do you mean you dont have real vtec? mellowboy 09-28-2004, 10:19 AM I dont think obd1 is available for the K-series. The reason is that its a new motor and i dont think theres any 92-95 b,d, and f-series compatible to convert obd1. Beastiek2 09-28-2004, 11:02 AM ^^ Exactly, I couldnt find much info on other companys tho - Apexi I still feel they make something. Gotta search around. mellowboy 09-28-2004, 11:07 AM SO far i only found hondata. If you want the best you gotta go with the best. http://www.hondata.com/kseries.html Well worth the money. mellowboy 09-28-2004, 11:10 AM Heres for apexi... http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_fc.asp I think i read somewhere that they dont have anything for obd2. Beastiek2 09-28-2004, 11:13 AM good looks mellowboy mellowboy 09-28-2004, 11:22 AM Love to help :) sageuvagony 09-28-2004, 01:24 PM what the fuck is wrong with you? Quit whoring through everybody's threads just to be an attention craving skank hahahahha DAMN!! I cant believe you came out with this (I was thinking the exact same thing)..... Because she's a girl, I guess she thinks us guys will bow for her every second we have available b18 ls 09-28-2004, 03:15 PM What do you mean you dont have real vtec? I think the new SI's only have a VTEC on the intake side. Same thing with all the non "S" type RSX's. Not real sure what that means, but I heard the same thing... sageuvagony 09-28-2004, 03:45 PM All it does is retard and advance the timing. It might do more. I'm not sure Beastiek2 09-28-2004, 04:00 PM SI(rsx) K20a3 has of course I-Vtec as does the K20a2 and k20a(JDM). I never really read up what the diff is between I-Vtec and Vtec. Sir_2003 09-28-2004, 05:48 PM So finaly I have no choice of going with Hondata. And Sorry I forget To tell you guys that my car was a Sir 2003. Tanks to all of you and the thing about the real v tech his because: the engines like b16a b18c5 and also the rsx s, have v tech on the intake and on the exhaust camshaft. But in my case, I only have a v tech on the Intake camshaft the cam for the exhaust his a normal cam without v tech. If you have any other Ideas,,, It will be apreciate  Beastiek2 09-28-2004, 05:59 PM All in all sweet ride ya got good luck- jameskersten 09-29-2004, 02:52 AM Oh you have a 7th gen SI. What do you mean you dont have real vtec? that particular motor doesnt have the same style vtec that say a b18c1 would have. below 2000rpm it runs on basically 8valves, after that it shifts to 16valves. not like the variable valve timing we all got use to. Sir_2003 09-29-2004, 12:04 PM Sorry but until 2300rpm we run with 12Valve and after 2300rpm we run on 16 valve that's the famous VTECH lol vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
