Yeh hardly any companies chip the obd2 since it has lots of restrictions. If you dont want it chipped then get a ITR or CTR ecu. I'd rather have the chip though since it'll be cheaper.

Didn't Apexi come out with somthing to compete with Hondata. But yea as stated above converting to OBD1 and running a chipped P28 will be fine.

And if it his possible to convert to OBD1 How?? And what do I need??

I dont think obd1 is available for the K-series. The reason is that its a new motor and i dont think theres any 92-95 b,d, and f-series compatible to convert obd1.

I think the new SI's only have a VTEC on the intake side. Same thing with all the non "S" type RSX's. Not real sure what that means, but I heard the same thing...

All it does is retard and advance the timing. It might do more. I'm not sure

SI(rsx) K20a3 has of course I-Vtec as does the K20a2 and k20a(JDM). I never really read up what the diff is between I-Vtec and Vtec.

So finaly I have no choice of going with Hondata. And Sorry I forget To tell you guys that my car was a Sir 2003.

Tanks to all of you and the thing about the real v tech his because: the engines like b16a b18c5 and also the rsx s, have v tech on the intake and on the exhaust camshaft. But in my case, I only have a v tech on the Intake camshaft the cam for the exhaust his a normal cam without v tech.

If you have any other Ideas,,, It will be apreciate

Oh you have a 7th gen SI. What do you mean you dont have real vtec?

that particular motor doesnt have the same style vtec that say a b18c1 would have. below 2000rpm it runs on basically 8valves, after that it shifts to 16valves. not like the variable valve timing we all got use to.

Sir_2003
09-29-2004, 12:04 PM
Sorry but until 2300rpm we run with 12Valve and after 2300rpm we run on 16 valve
that's the famous VTECH lol
