The Sauber-Mercedes that won Lemans in 1987. How do you expect me to pick just one? Oh yeah and favorite car of all time: the obvious answer, 1962 ferrari 250 GTO Dreamspawn 02-27-2005, 11:06 PM i thought 7B7 had a 4 rotor didn't it? Ne how it was a sweat vicory wish nissian would come back to challenge the audis i'm sick of them winning with no competition. Layla's Keeper 02-28-2005, 12:48 AM Dreamspawn is correct. The 787B was a naturally aspirated four-row rotary. http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1991/Le_Mans-1991-06-23-055.jpg However, honestly I prefer the Crawford built Mazda RX-792P GTP car that competed in IMSA GTP competition the same year. http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1992/Mid-Ohio-1992-05-31-077.jpg http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1992/Mid-Ohio-1992-05-31-078.jpg http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1992/Portland-1992-07-26-078.jpg http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1992/Sebring-1992-03-21-077.jpg Faster, and prettier. 57JagXKSS 03-20-2005, 05:30 PM My favorite is Jaguar. Here is the Jaguar XJR-12 which won the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans. The XJR-12 has a 7.0 liter V-12 producing 730 hp at 7,000 rpm and 579 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. It has a top speed of 229 mph. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/1395-1.jpg http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/1395-3.jpg Here is the XJR-5's V-12. The XJR-5 has a 6.0 liter V-12 producing 650 hp at 7,500 rpm and 480 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. It has a top speed of 217 mph. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/1671-5.jpg http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/1671-6.jpg I also really like the Jaguar D-Type which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957. http://galleries.wheels24.co.za/cars/Jaguar/wallpaper/large/19.jpg peter i 05-27-2005, 12:57 AM http://lrg.zorpia.com/0/552/3538066.14c466.jpg all time super star! peter i 05-27-2005, 01:08 AM http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/521-3.jpg unlucky GT one Dreamspawn 05-29-2005, 09:44 PM Hey 57JagXKSS have u seen Victory be design? All there dvd's are excellent but i saw there jaguar one and he goto drive that exact car. They ahd the maserati one on Speed last night. I reccomend them for ne Maserati,Porsche,Ferrari,Jaguar, and there is another fan. It shows the companies from the begings to now adays. Alan De coute *sp* is a great driver of these older cars and really shows u what they are like. Layla's Keeper 05-29-2005, 09:52 PM You're speaking of Alain de Cadenet, and the reason he's such a good driver of the older cars is because he IS a driver of the older cars. In fact, him and his family actually partnered with Lola to create their own car to race at Le Mans. http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1977/Le_Mans-1977-06-12-005.jpg That's the De Cadenet/Lola that Alain and co-driver Chris Craft took to a 5th place finih in the 1977 24 Hours of Le Mans. 81911targasc 07-28-2005, 12:05 AM all hail porsche! 16 time le mans overall winners. gotta love the classics. peter i 07-28-2005, 06:23 AM :naughty: http://lrg.zorpia.com/0/539/3451014.595796.jpg R-GT http://lrg.zorpia.com/0/701/4492080.943203.jpg GT-1 http://lrg.zorpia.com/0/746/4777074.fe102a.jpg GT-R Long tail The looks the winning .... Jaguar D-Type 07-29-2005, 01:59 AM Did the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year? I saw two of them at an ALMS (American Le Mans Series) race last year. They sounded great, but lost to a Saleen S7R and two Corvette C5-Rs. acrid850 08-08-2005, 04:00 PM I'm not sure if they were at the 24Hrs of LeMnas race, but if they did I doubt they finished. They were dumped before the end of the ALMS series becuase the team racing them was fed up with the Lambo's reliablility problems. A shame really, the race I saw them at they were pretty cool cars, even though only one of them finished. NewyorkKopter 08-14-2005, 11:17 AM My fave Le Mans cars..
