NOS on a v6JustinCredible 02-12-2002, 09:29 PM I talked to a mechanic at the local performance shop today and found out that cylinder headers on my 'bird would set me back a few thousand bucks! He reomended that a NOS system would be the only way to get really any signifigant pony-gains. When I asked him about carborator work he also said that it would be pretty useless. So what ya think, I always heard headers were cheap! An does anyone have any feedback on the usefulness of NOS on a firebird? Thanks AllieCatMeow3 02-14-2002, 12:01 PM hey there...you are not gonna want to use NOS on the firebird that u have...trust me Blackbird01 02-14-2002, 05:01 PM Cylinder Headers? What year is it? a 97? I'll tell you what, you give me $200 and I'll tune your "carburator" to make you run 1 sec faster.... You might want to do a little readin' up on your car first. '97 cars DONT HAVE CARBURATORS. In fact, they haven't been carbed since like 92! If you want a list of things to do to your car, look thru the Firebird forum for a post about V6 mods. I listed a ton of things you could get, and run low 14s on motor and low 12's on spray all with simple bolt on mods. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
