I wouldnt call this a terrible experience, but Mercedes Benz have been unable to correct my dad's E280's steering geometry despite trying to do so several times now. it happened when my dad tried to avoid an accident ahead of him by swerving to the left. he did just that but the front left wheel hit the pavement; it wasnt hard at all, the alloy didnt get scratched or anything, but the car now very slightly veers to one side.... what i dont understand is how they havent been able to fix it... any thoughts?

Sounds like he messed up a precision machine, possibly damaging something that the dealer does not want to replace because it wasn't a factory defect - it was user error.

He should make an insurance claim, and bring it to a collision center for proper suspension/body alignment.

thanks for the advice... hope the inept driver thing was aimed at the other guy and not my dad :D
