starter problemCanadianRanger 09-21-2004, 06:33 PM i have a 93 3.0l that i just replaced the starter on not long ago. when i go to start it occasionally i will hear the click of the solenoid then nothing happens. It will usually start if i turn the key a few times but this is very annoying. i was wondering whether anyone might know what is causing this. someone earlier mentioned the ground wire but i could not find a seperate ground wire for the starter. i was wondering if it could be the main power wire from the battery, or a starter relay if it has one?. I greatly appreciate any help. thanks. If you use a replacement starter from the same store (Murr?) then, unless you are lucky, will have the same problem again sooner than you should. But if the starter was an new (not rebuilt) OEM unit, then you may just have had bad luck. Connavar 10-08-2004, 12:58 PM I have a 93 ranger 3.0l and i sometimes have the same problem. I've noticed it happens more often when I've had it running for like an hour or so and then turn it off and let it sit for about same amount of time. Always seems to start even with problem but it is annoying. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
