Got a friend with a 96 LX with the digital instrument panel. It has gone blank. All the fuses check good, dimmer switch seemed to work. Everything still works i.e. turn signal, 4 way, etc., just no indication. They were going to replace it but Ford says that part is obsolete. Anybody have any info on this?

i had the same problem in my 96 windstar gl it ended up being a dead relay
