Toulene as an octane booster?fallenprnce 09-15-2004, 09:13 PM I have recently heard of using toulene (not sure on spelling) As an octane booster, it comes in 1 gallon cans from sherwin williams.. any insights? Derby 09-16-2004, 04:38 AM toluene is great as a octane booster, but i have my doubts about it if it is a brand. I suggest using normal chemical toulene. So it is concentrated and you probably pay less. Toluene has a octane number of 104 (that is what my memory says) So it could boost your octane number. Derby fallenprnce 09-16-2004, 09:11 AM Where can I purchase toulene At? Derby 09-17-2004, 08:44 AM That is the problem. i chemical store should do the trick. Over here (netherlands) it is a forbidden chemical. i can purchase it at the harbor. Derby vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
