89 cherokee that makes a clunk clunk noise while driving. cant hear it at speed but when i slow down to about 15-20mph i can i hear it. at first i thought i only heard it when i turned but i hear it when im driving in a straight line.

i've heard my jeep do that from time to time and somebody told me it was the fittings for the trackbar being worn out. mine hasnt done it for a long time so i never finished investigating

may check the bearings on either end of driveshaft along with universal joints

My 00' Xj was doing the same thing, I replaced the U-jionts, at 90k I figured it was time. Then I heard it the other day, I am suspecting maybe the brakes or check your liner in the wheel well, make sure its fastened and not rubbing on the tire.

I assume you don't hear it when stopped. Is it a rythmic clunking or irregular? Does it vary with vehicle speed or engine speed.

Have someone drive along side you and listen to see if it's louder from the left side or right, front or rear.

Sounds like you have abad Hub or u bad U Joints in the Axles or in the Driveline

its the lower end of the track bar snug it up then take it down a rough road if you still have it snug the top of the track bar and mount if by chance you still have the clunk noise replace the track bar rubicon express has a HD bar that will last longer than your jeep
