Problem with power seat

1997 Ford full size conversion (Regency) van. Problem with driver power seat. 8-way switch: front/back, up/down, tilt front up/down, tilt back up/down. All directions work except front/back. Press front/back switch, feel motor engage (click), no movement. Symptoms prior: seat moves back okay but intermittent fail to move forward, got worse, movement more and more sluggish, now won't move either way. Possible switch problem? Possible motor problem? Doesn't look like motor can be removed without taking entire driver seat out. Additionally, is there any air bag sensor I might trip by working on driver seat? Thanks!

i dont think there are any air bags in the seat for that yr.......most seats will be maked as having air bags....if you can figure out which wires are for the forward and back....try by-passing the switch....see if it works that way..if it does, then you know the switch is bad...
