Greddy Type-sgotboost2ggst 09-11-2004, 10:09 PM Sup guys I just installed my Greddy type-s and dont know where to turn it more to the hard or soft? any info would be cool thanks 96TSi 09-11-2004, 10:22 PM i have mine turned pretty hard. just for playing around on the streets, i dont think it really matters where it is set at gotboost2ggst 09-11-2004, 10:32 PM what you mean by that so its turned all the way to hard? 96TSi 09-11-2004, 10:36 PM if you turn it to the right(the long set skrew on top) it will push the spring under it down making it harder Shpyder 09-12-2004, 03:38 AM for street driving and cruising, I have mine at the softest setting...the whistle is really loud and i LOVE scaring the crap outta people. The most common response is usually" wow, wtf do u have in their?" and then i blurt out some techincal jargon that i dont know the full meaning of and pretend I'm wiseman Kevin for a few minutes. EclipseRST 09-12-2004, 06:44 AM yes... keep it soft! the harder you have it set the more back pressure is being put on the turbo (not good). loosen it up before you blow your turbo, i keep mine about 3-1/2 to 4 full turns out from all the way tight... plus like he said, its louder for longer when its set softer! EclipseRST 09-12-2004, 06:48 AM i have mine turned pretty hard. just for playing around on the streets, i dont think it really matters where it is set at sorry to be a dick but if you dont know, dont post! giving the wrong info could cost someone a turbo because you said "dont think it matters where its set at" 96TSi 09-12-2004, 02:42 PM just for playing around on the streets well to me playing around on the streets means not treating your car like shit RiceRocket18 09-12-2004, 03:21 PM you can start out from 3 rotations down from full tightness.. and then drive around town and play around with it from there according to your own taste. personally i have mine set at 2.75 ~ 3 rotations down from full tite. just because it pulls harder when it's set little tighter, but jake is right, too much back pressure is never good. so don't start out from full tight. it's all up to your taste, i like mine a little tite while others like it louder and longer. have fun :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
