My 95 town cars lights don't work and I need help trying to troubleshoot prob. The switch won't turn em on automatically or manually. If I push the brights turn signal switch they don't work either. Brights only work if I pull and hold signal arm. Any suggestions

You push the turn signal stalk forward for the brights right?

If you have and they still don't work then you may have a faulty MFTSS (multi-function turn signal switch). You may need to replace it, sometimes the contacts can corrode and it malfunctions.

Although you may want to make sure that the filaments on the headlamps themselves aren't burnt out, the headlamps have dual filaments (if your stalk does go forward) for each the low and high beam.

richard.. My headlights sometimes come on if I jiggle the turn signal but most time they just stay off. So I know my lamps work. It sounds like it may be the mftss. Is it hard to replace it? Thanks for the info. JS

Well as you can imagine you have to take the steering column cover off, then it's just a matter of unplugging wires and removing screws.

You might be able find used at an auto recycler but unfortunately it is a Ford only part if you want it new.....

Good luck
