I am having problems with my washer switch and have to replace the whole arm (signal, brights, washer). I have tried to do some reasearch but have not come up with a step by step instructions. I heard that I need to unhook my battery and the airbag deployment relays along with the fuses before I start. Is this true or can I just start to pull apart my steering wheel and column???

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

DEFINITELY disconnect the battery and airbag relays, you don't want anything sparking or blowing out!

If you havent done it already, Just disconnect the battery, Drop the lower half of your steering column cover and there should only be 2 torx screws holding the multi unit in with 2 wire connectors it's easy and only takes about 15 minutes to do.

Um, remove the stering wheel? WHY?

Leave the battery connected, and the steering wheel ON.

Remove the three (or four) screws from the lower column cover and pull the cover off. Now, pry the upper cover upwards from the driver's side to access the two electrical connectors for the MFS. Slip them off, using a Torx screwdiver (T20 as I recall) remove the two MFS retaining screws and then the MFS.

Installation is revers of removal.

Time, under 15 minutes.
