Rearview Mirror Removalfourduces 09-08-2004, 08:16 PM I feel stupid but I can't see how to remove the rearview mirror off of the windshield mount. I have a 98 Grand Prix with an auto-dimming mirror that has died. The mirror looks like it just snaps on to the mount since I don't see any external screw or tabs, etc. It also looks like it attaches by sliding over the mount from the top going down but for the life of me, I can't see how to release it off of the mount. Any help with this problem would be appreciated..... Thanks... 4duces BIG-L 09-08-2004, 08:20 PM Here are some instructions to help remove the rearview mirror Click Here (http://www.rpminnovations.com/auto_dim_install_pg_3.htm) go to 2.0 on the 2nd page ........~Larry~ fourduces 09-08-2004, 08:51 PM Here are some instructions to help remove the rearview mirror Click Here (http://www.rpminnovations.com/auto_dim_install_pg_3.htm) go to 2.0 on the 2nd page ........~Larry~ Thanks for the quick response. I've done what the instructions indicate to do but I can't feel anything nor does the mirror want to wiggel. I suspect that it's probably stuck on there with 6 years of whatever is in our air as well as the mechanical clip. I'll have more time tomorrow in daylight to work on it....
