ok Im getting my tranny swapped out, now they said they needed the tcm (transmission control module,) this pretty much is the same thing as the PCM (powertrain control module of the car, but it controls the transmission. but the dealer told me that the aurora doesn't have a tcm but the tranny is controled off of the pcm. so I told the tranny place and they didn't believe that because they just swapped a tranny out of a caddy which has the same tranny so what I need to know is if anyone has had any experience in swapping a tranny and to clear up some stuff for me about the tcm and the pcm and if the aurora even has a tcm.

According to my 1997 FSM the PCM controls the shift points, shift quility, TCC apply and release, line pressure ect. I cant even find a reference to a TCM.
