What should I do?Robs71Nova 09-08-2004, 02:42 AM Hey guys. I just recently got the fuel rail recall notice on my 97 Olds Aurora. I am bringing it to the dealership tomorrow to get fixed, but I had another problem. I am having a problem where upon startup in my Aurora I sometimes have to push the pedal all the way to the floor while turning the keyfor it to crank. This is a problem when the car is cold, or has been sitting for more then about 30 minutes. From reading other threads I gather that this might be the Fuel Pressure Regulator? My questions is this: Does anyone know if a new FPR is included with the recall? If not should I just have them change it all in one shot or Is it something I can do myself and save labor fees? Is the FPR hard to change? ANy input is appreciated guys. Thanks Rob oldsdad 09-08-2004, 05:43 AM No the FPR is not included in the recall they will use the same one that is on the car when brought in. Yes it is a very easy part to change and takes about 10 min. make sure the o-ring is seated properly. There are a couple of threads that detail the replacement. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
