The set should have come with instructions.
The water temp sender tube cannot be cut. You must find or make a hole in the firewall big enough to thread the entire tube, copper bulb and the threaded fitting at the end. Then find a port on the head or intake manifold - often there are extras that are plugged - unscrew the plug and thread in the sender.
Your kit should have come with adaptors for the fitting if required.
All the SBC's I've seen have two perfectly sized ports on each head, just above the plugs. Use the port located nearer to the front of the engine, as the coolant runs a bit hotter there.

The oil gauge should have a tiny plastic or copper tube. This threads in with compression fittings, and goes where the existing oil sender is. On an SBC, this is at the top of the block, right beside the distributor shaft. If you are handy, you can rig up a T fitting so you can keep the existing sender, (to keep the stock idiot light or gauge) and add the new gauge too.

I installed them today, I got the oil and the Voltmeter hooked up, but my old water sensor wont come out becuase my intake mainfold butt up against the bolt, which sucks. So now I have to take it off. Which I really dont want too, but I guess its the way its gotta be. thanks again for the advise.
