im tryin to put an aftermarket deck into a 2000 deville. its a regular gm 32 pin harness but i heard that you have to relocate some of the pins. my source wasnt too clear so i dont know if i can trust it but i still dont want to go in there and mess stuff up. anyone put a deck in one of these or have any ideas?
thanx

you could try bestbuy or circuit city and see if they have an installation kit for your car. Can't hurt to ask them.

Hey, I was just wondering if you ever figured out how to wire everything? I am having the same problem putting a deck in my 02 Deville. Thanks!

yea i figured out how to do it i just havent actually done it yet. theoretically its a simple job just time consuming. the 32 pin harness behind the deck is more like a relocation harness. what you have to do is basically take speaker wires and run them all the way back to the amps in the back of the car...i am waiting to buy all the equipment im gonna put in to do the job cuz i only wanna take stuff apart and run wires once. im gonna put in an indash dvd player, replace all the speakers and put a 6ch amp on the interiors and an amp for some subs in the back, i like that the batt is in the back already, makes it easier to run wires and the whole car comes apart like a set of legos so its really simple...like i said it just takes time. once i get it all done here in a little while i will post a reply outlining the whole process but as of right now i still havent done it so im afraid i cant help much other than tell you how its supposed to be done and how its supposed to work, hope this helps at least a bit
