Starting Issues (Sensor?)

Hi everyone, I am new to the Jag Section and Jags in general. I am trying to fix 2 of my fathers Jaguar; Right now I am only concerned with one issue. (The other needs an Engine Swap. I have a Donor Car)

The Issue @ hand is with a 93 XJ-6 Vanden Plaus.

The Car does not start properly when the engine is cold.

I can usually get it started with a half dozen tries and playing with the gas. I warm the car up with semi high revs (2000 - 3000) for like 20 - 30 sec and it will continue to run fine and idle fine. I took it for a test drive and the engine seemed healthy and ran great.

No lag, no stuttering or anything.

I am fairly new to diagnosing things that are not easily seen or heard or what ev.

I am wondering if it might be a sensor of somekind.

He has a parts car that is complete. or was when he bought it, almost eveything is still around. The Parts car is an 88 XJ6 with 126,000 kms and an engine and tranny that seem great. The body is really rough thou. But atleast the hood and trunk are in great shape :)

Any sugestions or advice for this?

I have a large 2 car garage, An air compressor and tools, Tools for electrical Diagnosis and knowledge and expoerience with them (Basic stuff like test lights, digital multimeters, etc.)

Thanks in Advance to those who view / reply...
