Overheating problem!!!!!

alright I need help my 89 celica has been over heating and the antifreeze has turned a rusty brown color I think there is a leak coming from the freezer plugs anybody else have the same problem....please reply... :banghead:

depending if your trans has a seprate cooler you might have a busted line in the radator (I Think) how does you trany act?????

perfectly fine except for reverse if i drive in reverse for like about 0.1 miles it gets stuck in gear

hmm I think you need to fix your radator keep mind I said I think I had a proplem like this and there was a leak (external) your problem seems internal (I think)

yeah i do believe its internal because i tried flushing it once and it was clear from the brown color for about 2 hours then it started getting brown again....

I would think so but because its internal you would have to replace it I think unless you can fix it ( I think)

you shouldnt have to replace the head, just new gaskets and rebuild it, does the engine make any noises at all and are you beating on it, like revin high and shifting hard

the enginedoes not make any noises and no i dont high rev or shift hard ........ and check this out i just changed the thermostat and the piece that goes into the engine was missing like it was twisted off and broke ........
