4.3 TBI Performance92sdimeblazer 09-01-2004, 08:13 AM I have a 92 blazer, and I am considering my options. I am looking for more power, and would like to do it for cheap, but I am also consdering a new car. About the blazer, can I remove the heat stove, or will that cause it to throw a code. Are there any other cheap mods I could do to make more power/torque? BlazerLT 09-02-2004, 12:10 AM One question at a time bro. get a 1992 CPI votec, not the TBI. TBI: 150HP CPI: 190-195HP 92sdimeblazer 09-02-2004, 06:41 AM If I buy a new motor, I'm just going to get a new car. I don't have the ability to have downtime without a vehicle. And I have personally never heard anything good about CPI. BlazerLT 09-02-2004, 08:58 AM Other than the CPI injector, it is bullet proof and much more powerful. I own one and will swear by it. 92sdimeblazer 09-02-2004, 09:04 AM If I were to consider it, where could I find a CPI for cheap, and if I were to do an engine swap, why swap for another V6. BlazerLT 09-02-2004, 09:06 AM http://www.chevy-gas-diesel-engines.com/chevy-engine-205.html Long block. True on the V6 swap not being worth it over say a V8, but some people want a drap in motor without modding to get them going ASAP. 92sdimeblazer 09-02-2004, 10:38 AM What is the stock compression on a 92 TBI, do you know, b/c I might just slap a couple of turbos on it. BlazerLT 09-02-2004, 12:27 PM lol 9.5:1 92sdimeblazer 09-02-2004, 03:11 PM thats a little high, but i could run 8 psi BlazerLT 09-02-2004, 04:28 PM yip, it could. Not much more though. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
