Intake temp. sensor problemlowrider21 08-30-2004, 09:39 PM I have a 2000 Neon, I have a code for intake temp. sensor reading high voltage. Anyone now how I can fix, and what will the high voltage reading do to my car? Please help .. FAST..... also my car is dying on me while driving and spitting and sputtering.. and all my insturments are reading wrong and the engine light is staying on now all this started after I had dual mufflers and a lowrider kit put on my car too. thanks for anymore suggestions and hundahunta thank you I'll check that out... hundahunta 08-31-2004, 02:00 AM possible a bad IAT sensor or a wire shorted to ground...!!! Do you have an aftermarket intake and forget to install the sensor... It is located on the intake near the air cleaner....!! You need to remove the wire and check for either voltage value or resistance... Possible you can put your meter to check resistance and heat the end of the sensor with a blow dryer and watch the resistance. The hotter the sensor is the lower the resistance.... If this works it is probably a wire shorted... If the sensor does not change resistance with the heat possible the sensor is bad..make sure the sensor is also clean, no oil, slilcone, etc... good luck!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
