I was wondering how many of us from Cartrackers are also members of this forum.

As you all probably know we cannot post on Cartrackers any more. I tried emailling the webmaster and moderator but the addresses bounce back. Hopefully someone is just on vacation but I am almost ready to use snail mail to contact them.

I hope that all of the people from cartackers will show up here. Perhaps LewisNC can post a meesage on his companion site to let all of us stick together somewhere.

I thought something was up with that site. I do occasionally join in the fun there, but mostly just browse. Looks like cartrackers is having serious server issues!?!? :uhoh: :banghead:

I noticed that too and suspected the worst. I can post something on my companion site and open up the message forum area there, but since it was a free MSN service we're more limited in size. The sad part is losing all that built up knowledge in the past threads. Looks like we can still search there but not sure how long that will be available.

Exactly, the lost data can never be replaced.....................well that's not exactly true. With all of the malfunctions..........lol

I am glad to see you here. I wonder if Fordfan will find this site.

I was wondering if you could maybe post a message on the companion site to have people migrate to this site.

Would have gotten here sooner, but had some Microsoft and hurricane issues that delayed me. Glad to be "onboard".

"12Ounce" aka "Fordfan" (of Cartrackers). This board would not let me use my old moniker, guess someone else already has it.

12Ounce eh??? Exactly the size of a cold one.

Hope the hurricane did not cause you too much grief.

DRW1000,I sure hope not.I did try to email cartrackers and had it sent back.I thouht my computor was locked up and had the last post at cartrackers locked up also.I went to work and logged on to the site and same problem.I tried my mother system and same problem.I do not know what has happened. Of course you didn't.....................I was just joking of course.

I too tried emailing them but it bounced back.

a while back I tried posting to the GM forum on Cartrackers and it would not work. I then tried to contact Chantal the moderator and it bounced back. I then tried to get her attention in the Windstar forum and never heard from her. I assume it was inevitable. I was planning on snail mailing Cartrackers since they are in St. Catherines Ontario..........Not too far from me, but I figured that if they did not notice the problems yet then they probably have lost interest in it.

I sent them a card a couple of weeks back. I keep checking back on the website -- but it seems lifeless.

I was a cartrackers follower too. Can't seem to have enough places to get/share ideas. Hope people will migrate here.

That site (and its contributors) saved me a lot of $ and sanity with my 1999 Windstar. It almost appears like the administrator of the forum section quit, and no one knows how to keep it updated. Its been almost a month.

Folks,
I am another cartrackers refugee. I posted there under my name, george_ottinger. I chose the username on this forum because it is most decidely more appropriate.

Has anyone heard from wresteler, dave_a, or bob_talley and other posters from cartrackers.com?

Cartrackers has been in this state for about 6 months. So I am not optomistic about it's future. There is always hope. This site has been of great assistance to me. Thanks to all who have posted such great information.

A cartrackers refugee here.

DRW100, Fordfan, Wrestler, and Wiswind (?) have collectively saved us well over $2000 on our '96 Windstar. My husband is out with it right now working on it with a printed thread from Wiswind from the old site.

I am happy that a lot of "refugees" from Cartrackers have made it here. This forum is good as well and there is a lot of history here too. As someone said with the regular failures of our Windstars this forum will be up to date in no time.

There are also some great alumini from this site here too.

Yup Bobinkski another cartrackers refugee here. You have the honor of being the last surviving post but like a lot of other bad things that have happened to me on that day the site went down on my birthday - Aug 23rd.
I'm having problems with the windstar right now and getting excellent advice via this site from 12Ounce better known to us as Fordfan so long may it continue.
Anyone heard from / of that other cartrackers stalwart Shadetree?
