- 1985 Carrera Club Sport
- 1988 959
- 1991 964 RS
- 1993 968 Club Sport
- 1995 993 GT2
- 1999 996 GT3

my personal fave is the 993GT2, though i cant claim to have driven one.

Ironoically, the best driver's Porsches happen to also be some of the best they ever made.

why is that ironic? it makes perfect sense to me. those are the cars that handled the best, communicated with the driver best, required real involvement at the wheel. thats what makes a car great IMO. for me, these cars are head and shoulders above other porsche models, though of course there are other excellent models, and im sure someone will remind me of a car i unfairly omitted

Hmmm. My favourite Porsche? Why must you make it so difficult? Ah yes, although I dearly love the 1973 RS series 911's, I cannot close my jaw at the sight of any 1997 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo S. I've only seen one or two, but my heart races at the sound of that 3.6 liter Twin-Turbo Flat-6.

Nice choice, very rare.. ive only seen one myself and instantly fell in love with those curves (993 Turbo body will never be bettered by any car)... however, i would take the 993GT2 over the Turbo S. It just looks that much more purposeful and goes harder too. Still, can't argue with 430bhp and 4WD!

For me 959 is the classic , best porsche ever , neck-to-neck with the 930 turbo. Anyway i have just bought a 930 Turbo , it's black... want to see the pics? But i still want to expand my "collection" so it contains a 959 and a RUF CTR (the original one) also... we'll see if i'll ever be so lucky...

The 968 Turbo RS is the race spec 968 Turbo isnt it? Anyway youre right i forgot about the 968 Turbo S, it is indeed a very fast and fine car. Only a handful were produced if i recall correctly.
I would however put the Turbo S on a par (in the voting stakes) with the Club Sport. although it is considerably quicker, they are both extremely fine cars and offer a similar experience (in nature) to the driver.

Without a doubt, I would go with the 968CS. They got the 924/944/968 series right in 1980 with the 931 series 2, and it just got better from there. With the exception of the later 951's and 968s, the cars never had enough power, but made up for it with balanced, neutral, quick, responsive, nimble.. I'm running out of words... Great Handling, and the 968 turbos had the power they needed at long, long last.
