I am having 2 problems.
# 1 - On my driver side door I noticed that when it rains I am getting some water inside, when I look closer I noticed that the door does not close as tight as the other, Can this be adjusted ????

# 2 - I have a keyless entry with alarm, And about 4 months of ownership it started setting itself after 2-3 minutes of non-use, It does not lock, it just flashes the lights ( No horn ) and disables the engine, It is a pain if you need to get something out of the car.

Any ideas ????
# 1 is the most important

For the door you can adjust it by the latch on the inside of the door sill, you will need a wrench with a star adapter, and to adjust it move it in towards the car so the door latches tighter. hope that helps.

Re. #1, before adjusting the striker make sure the hinge bushings and pin are not worn out. Grab the door at the bottom outboard edge and lift hard. If there is any play in the hinges, replace the bushings and pin first.

#1, you need door pins.

how hard are door pins and bushings to replace?

Not too hard.

I would invest in a Chilton's or Haynes Repair manual for your truck.

Makes things easy.

The hinges themselves are welded to the door and body. Normally the hinge pin and bushings are the parts that wear out and are easily replaced. The bushings, pin, and retainer run $8.00 from the dealer (each hinge) and you will need a door spring compressing tool to get the spring in and out. Got mine from handsontools.com ($16.00) part no.SGT87690. Repair one hinge at a time, wrap a couple of layers of duct tape around the leading edge of the door and the trailing edge of the fender to protect the paint. Remove the spring, remove the pin retainer, use a hammer and drift to knock out the pin, replace the bushings, pin and retainer. Its a 30 minute job. Keep everything well lubed or you will end up replacing these annually.

Good luck,
