94 Geo Metro - Fan doesn't blow

I have a 94 geo metro and on my way home from work today the a/c fan stopped blowing in the cab. I switched it over to heat and nothing happens. When you click the a/c button the car bogs down like the a/c is on, again just nothing blowing in the cab. I checked whatever fuses I could find under the dash and in the engine area and they all look ok. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Sounds like your fan blower switch, in the dash, came apart. A common problem as the switch is cheaply made. Sometimes all you need to do is put the pieces back in place and hold the top down with something better than the plastic locking tabs. Some have used plastic tie straps, clips made from coat hanger wire, etc.

I took apart the dash where the switches are and made sure it was firmly attached to the lever. I even pulled my glove box out and followed the wires into the bottom of passenger area where it plugs into some round silver piece near the floor boards. I still can't get the fan to turn on. Any other suggestions? Please?

There is a resistor pack that works with two or three of the fan switch positions. Something to check, but I don't know where it is located.
