97 intrigue trouble starting?

Lately my intrigue (88,000 miles), if off for longer than a few hours, has absolutely no power to start when I turn the key in the ignition. No lights, no seatbelt warning, no dash power. I'll pump the breaks, remove the key, try again a few times and will notice all the gauges on the dash pin for a second, then the car starts fine. After this happens my car stereo clock resets as well.

I'm going to take it into the shop and wonder what I should expect. Short somewhere perhaps?

Thank you in advance for any advice you may offer.

Sounds like battery trouble, Also check battery cables for corrison. also measure the output of the alt. should be 14 volts with engine running.

I have the exact same problem with my 98 Intrigue
If you come up with any solution please let me know. My front turn signals like to melt too. Still love the car though. :)

You can FIX the bulb burnout by looking at the recepticle, clean the inside and get out the debris, then from the back at the terminal that is burning take a small screwdriver and push gently from behind on the post to spread it out a bit to give it better contact with the bulb. I think after time the terminals just get weak but this cured my every 3 day bulb replacement.
