2000 Avalon Excessive Wheel Vibrationtpkohl 08-23-2004, 11:16 PM I have a 2000 Avalon XLS, and recently I have noticed excessive vibration in the steering wheel. I had all the wheels/tires "road-force" tested and everything came out fine in the testing. The front rotors were warped, and needed replacement (as well as pads), but I still get the excessive vibration when I reach the 65-75mph range. At first a local shop told me one of my wheels was out of round. Not sure how I bent an aluminum wheel the way I drive. I got a very good deal on a new set of rims, and the problem never went away. What the *!$%@!!!! Any suggestions? Is anyone else experiencing this sort of problem? kro$s 08-26-2004, 11:46 PM did you have your suspension and your cv boot checked? Have you taken it back to Toyota and had them take a look? Like, literally dropped the car off first thing in the morning and have them go over it with a fine tooth comb, that may be your best bet at this point seeing how you spent so much already. cpaskert 10-12-2004, 05:29 PM I have the same vibration. Wheels/tires all check out ok. Dealer found nothing. I will look into cv joints. Any other ideas? Nintey-Six 10-19-2004, 12:03 PM I recently replaced my dry-rotted tires (were on it when I bought it), they also vibrated at certain speeds, since installing 4 new tires it handles smooth and tracks straight. Not sure this is your problem, but hope it helps someone. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
