Computer/Ignition Problems

Problem started after I pulled the coil wire, the one to the distributor, to cut off the Blazer(98 4dr 4wd LS if it matters). Yea it shut off the engine like I wanted, but now I can't get it to restart. as far as I can tell everything is working except my spark. Has the computer cut the system out for some reason? I can't see how the system would have magicaly stoped working..I do it all the time to my Grand Cherokee with no ill effects =/

I've tryed pulling the battery's ground several times leaveing it off as long as 30 minutes with no result.

I'm going to take a wild guess and suggest that you check the distributor module. Some parts stores can check these things out of the vehicle. It is located in the bottom of the distributor with the wires attached to it.

I have to be honest with you, what were you thinking when you stop a COMPUTER controlled vehicle by pulling the coil wire? Not smart and shouldn't ever be tried again.

That being said, you have ruined your coil or the distributor module.

Make sure the connector going to the coil is in properly. Also, get your coil and module checked.

Yea, I fried the coil..odd that my Jeep has absolutely no problem with me doing that and the blazer said piss off.
