RCer 02-06-2002, 09:03 AM He is talking about the car that will win the Drivers and Manufacturers F1 Championship this Year. Ah, BTW, It's a Ferrari.:D ales 02-06-2002, 09:29 AM Originally posted by NSX what are you talking about? :D http://www.ferrariworld.com/cmc_upload/1/610/732/788/3_4_210.jpg NSX 02-06-2002, 10:06 AM ah...i'm no fan of the ferraris.. go BAR and JORDAN ales 02-06-2002, 10:10 AM Originally posted by NSX go BAR and JORDAN Bwah! :bloated: And I have an idea where they should go! :D j/k I actually like jordan, but BAR - pu-leeez! ;) RCer 02-06-2002, 10:46 AM Originally posted by NSX ah...i'm no fan of the ferraris.. go BAR and JORDAN I saw that one coming. You better say: Go Honda!!! ales 02-07-2002, 05:14 PM I wonder how much hp the engine has... For a few years now it has been rumoured that F1 cars push around 800 or a bit more hp. My guess is that they soon will be reaching 900 really soon or have already done so (the top teams, especially the BMW engine. That thing is a beast!) NSX 02-11-2002, 11:55 AM hahaa i know what you mean... i don't know what's going on with the 2 hondas i think they said F1s were rated at 750 hp this year they're going v12s though ales 02-11-2002, 12:02 PM Originally posted by NSX hahaa i know what you mean... i don't know what's going on with the 2 hondas i think they said F1s were rated at 750 hp this year they're going v12s though Nope, all of them are V10-s And 750 - I don't think so. I'd say *at least* 850. Even more. Amazing what you can do with a 3.0 litre NA engine... NSX 02-11-2002, 12:51 PM really? does the official site say anything? ales 02-11-2002, 12:55 PM Originally posted by NSX really? does the official site say anything? About what? About power? Nope. No one will ever disclose the true numbers that those engines are putting down. As fro V10 vs V12 - I *believe* that since 2001 it is put in the rules that the engine should be a V10. Check www.fia.com (I'm too lazy right now) NSX 02-13-2002, 09:00 AM well...i guess we should wait ''till march..Australian GP RCer 02-13-2002, 02:59 PM Originally posted by ales I wonder how much hp the engine has... Yeah, I think they must have reach th 900 (BMW at least) or are very closer. But that information is not discussed anywhere. Ferrari was over 800hp like 2 or more years ago. They aleged that will increase the already expensive F1. Imagine this scenario, toyota develop a very good V12 engine, and win some races, let's say in a 2 year time frame. What do you think will Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, Renault, Jaguar and Honda do? The cost of R/D is amazing. So they better stop it. That is, unless reliability strikes theother two. Damn. It was the same with the white front wing at first. Ferrari has somewhere around 840-845 hp, and McLaren have 790hp, which is low. I don't know about any other teams, except Renault have aroudn 820hp, and Sauber have a detuned Ferrari engine- don't know the hp rating on that though. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
