I have a '94 Lumina (3.1) w/ 175k miles and and the cruise control motor has gone out.

Shop says they cost $350 new/$120 used and they can put it in for me.

I would like to know if this is something that I might be able to do myself and save $$$ or leave it to the pro's? Where should I get a used motor if I do it myself?

Thanks for any help,

Look at the thread for the posting "96 Lumina cruise control stopped working" in this same forum.

I have a used CC module that came out of my 94 Buick Regal when I thought it was bad but my problem turned out to be the Reverse/Neutral Safety Switch on the transaxle. You can probably talk me out this one for a pretty cheap price. Send an email if interested.
