E series rearend specs

I've been trying to find measurement specs on older Econoline vans (pre 92 body styles). What I would really like is an exploded view of the rear end assembly. If anybody knows of a website or publication I could reference, it would be grateful.

My aim is to put a dually axle on an E-150 cargo van (I had a previous post on the topic). Some one mentioned that it would be hell because the frame and spring setups are different. I was trying to figure out HOW different, but cannot find and pictures or measurements on the net.

So any info would be great, thanks.

As far as I know, there is no single source for the info you seek, except a tape measure and a good salvage yard.

Have you looked at the HAYNE'S manulas for this information? I use one for my work on my '89 E-150 and I think it has dimensions and measurements for the rear end as well as exploded drawings of the rear end.
I once considered making a dually out of my '89 to increase carrying capacity. The only thing I looked at using for this conversion was a dually conversion kit from JC WHITNEY. I would imagine the kit for the F-150 would bolt right up and be servicable. The E and the F use the same rear ends for most of the year classes.
