ByronP 08-17-2004, 09:09 PM I had this problem with my Bronco. It was the shift linkage. It had rusted and wouldn't move freely. I took the linkage apart and cleaned it up, applied a little marine grease and it worked fine. I was pretty relieved that it wasn't anything more serious. Could be the gears like the last post indicated as well. Good luck. ByronP sudsman 08-17-2004, 09:20 PM thanks Byron..it will be my weekend job. Because I haven't used it since March I figured it wouldn't be anything serious. A little elbow grease and never sieze should probably take care of it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
