Hey guys I've decided to get a 99 or 00 honda accord ex v-6 coupe. What should I be aware of about this car. I've read that some of the tranmissions fail early. Can anyone verify this. What the deal with the warranty? Someone fill me in. How do you like yours? Let me hear it!

Yeah, transmissions are not very reliable on V6 accords. If you try to choose between 99 and 00 models, I’d suggest to get 00 or 01 models, they have extended warranty on transmission 7year (may be 10) and 100,000ml.

I am the original owner of an 00 EX coupe (bout 60k mi) and have had zero problems. Love the car. Would like a little more low end, but it's been a solid and strong car thus far.

Yeah, the 6th gen V6 Accords are nice. But they do have tranny problems. Honda knew this and is the reason why they offered the 7yr 100K mile warranty As long as it's a certified preowned Honda you'll be ok.
