I HAVE A 98 MITSUBISHI GALANT AND WHEN EVER i TRY TO START IT WON'T STAR FOR THE FIRST COUPLE TIME. THERE IS NO SOUND EXCEPT A CLICK SOUND, BUT AFTER A COUPLE TRY IT STARTS. HOWEVER SOMETIMES IT DIRECTLY STARTS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM.

We have a 98 Galant in our shop right now with transmission problems. The car belongs to a car lot and they were saying that it does that same thing on top of the tranny problems. Depending on what the tranny costs to repair the dealer may have that problem fixxed as well. If he does I will ask the technican what it was and let you know.

The Solenoid Is Bad.
Replace It Or The Whole Starter.
Also You May Check That The Battery Has The Power That It Should.
