Electrical Problem - New Membergreggs400 08-15-2004, 04:45 PM Looking for Help, please. One: Where is the "junction block" located on the '68 GS400, or its related base Skylark model? Also, I think I either have a generator or junction block problem, thoughts please. Initially my voltage regulator was acting up, and I just let it continue. Finally my starter went out, which I've just replaced. I've also replaced the voltage regulator. But an strange problem persists from when the starter went to the present. I can do nothing to the car, and sometimes the courtesy lights and other accessories will work. Other times they don't, or some times they'll come on magically. If I then try to start the car, drawing power, and using other circuits, everything immediately goes dead. I'm starting to wonder if my earlier issues then messed up my generator. As the shop manual indicates even with the engine off, accessory circuits will flow through the generator. But I've had someone suggest to me the junction block, but in the case of intermittent power with loose connections. But this is not the case to me. Because just today, I reached in through the open driver's door window, pulled the headlight switch on, had no headlights, then about a minute later they suddenly came on. Tried to start the car, and all's dead again electrically. Any suggestions, welcome. Greg Johnson @ gregjomary@cs.com Thanks! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
