93 Laredo 4.0 not getting fuel; wont start

Seems to be a faulty fuel pump because it was idling roughly and would cut out and die if heavy acceleration was applied. When turning the key to the on position the relays would not click right away but would after 2-3 minutes when it would click on and off like 6 times in a row. :screwy: I just got a new battery to make sure it was getting enough juice and it turned on fine after the crazy clicking. it ran roughly for 15 minutes when it all of a sudden died and has since not even done the crazy clicking of the relay near the battery. Im thinking about doing an in-line fuel pump conversion which seems more practical, cheap and of better performance(MSD Fuel pump). I just need some advice as to if that is a good idea or if my problem lies in something else.

Hi, Try swapping the relay with other relay, they are all the same so you can try one of the others. That relay maybe shorted inside and is tripping it off. DALE jeepman600@aol.com :smokin:

tried swapping them already, tried new relays, I even changed my battery connectors to gold plated ones, still nothing. Im about to try the fuel pump. however I noticed there is a electrical "whine" coming form my Powertrain Control Module, and its constant. That might be where the problem lies because i dont think its supposed to be doing that. Does anyone's Jeep have that noise coming from their PCM when they turn the key to the on position? If so i might just have to get a new one. :banghead:
